I am working on a project with a friend, we produce filth dubstep. We try to not to make "Skrillex dubstep", it's more the oldschool sound like Kode9 or Benga. I've been searching for a while, but i never found a sound like in "Archie Cane - Bad B" (http://www.beatport.com/track/bad-b-ori ... ix/4789681). I use FM8 and Massive in Ableton Live 9.1. Maybe anyone could help with turoials or presets, or even new VST we didnt notice yet. Thank you!

Using Absynth's Pipe or Resonator effects can produce a really cool metallic sound.

He accepts all friend reqs on facebook, add him and ask?
In all seriousness though, sounds like a plucky envelope modulating a lpf, distortion, and then to get that metallic effect the usual: reverb stacking, short delays, comb filters.
I think he said once that he uses operator for alot of stuff (maybe I asked him haha I dont remember), and these metallic sounds can easily be achieved with fm. Hell, everything you make in fm synths sounds bloody metallic.

Theres a thread on here on similar sounds, use search :D <3
