He might not have been as faultless or ultimately effective as we'd like to believe/remember and he might've come from a surprisingly rich background for a working class champion, but was above all an absolute fucking HERO. This man sparked my interested in politics, when I saw him debating with Ken Clarke on a school trip to London in 6th Form. I don't think I could name a single politician that I've looked up to more for longer.
Rest in power, comrade. Thank you.
