DSF- Against The Clock: Rockonin

Hey guys here it is, the fruit of my loins. It was actually quiet hard to do this, ten minutes is naff all.

Unfortunately i had to use the shoite default windows driver in order to capture the audio from Cubase as Camtasia does not do ASIO drivers. This lead to latency and the kick/sub not being very audible.

I used a Sony consumer digital camera for the main video and a Samsung tablet for the side mug shot. I did the animations in After Effects and edited in Premiere Pro. (Watch it in 720p for better quality)

Cheers Wub i appreciate it. It was a lot of work, been caning it over the last couple of days. I did video production in Uni so i'm quiet handy with the old video applications.

Most juke tracks sound like they were made in 10mins anyway, so you should be in your element :)

About to play it. Is this a thing, like are production heads doing 10 minute challenges? Was thinking of doing something like this, but more like, the full process of me making a track. Then I thought about the amount of footage I'd have... and most of it would be me looping 8 bars and playing with this little finger light I nabbed off my kid b2b searching for humorous animated gifs .

Big up Rocks.

Yo Rockonin, like, how much of that song did you write in the 10 minutes? It seems like you wrote the song already, and put it together in 10 minutes. What gives, dude?

I didn't write any of it beforehand. I just had a rough idea of what i was going to do, and i knew it was going to be in the key of C.
I created the samples before hand, like the delayed snare/bongo/breathe (non of the them were pitched) etc. The sub was simple, like 3 notes.
The drums were made on the spot. And the two massive wobble presets I had made before hand. I just put it together. The beat itself is not that complex.

Very interesting then, to see someone's process. I'm so different, I do a lot of listening and playing to figure out what is going on.

I always start with the drums, I'm pretty quick with making the drums patterns. That Beat Designer matrix makes the process really quick. Also i'll work within a Key signature/scale, which makes writing the parts much more efficient.
What do you start of with first?
