Why would you put a rewind into a pre-recorded mix you've done at home? Seems like the DJing equivalent of wanking in front of a mirror.

Years ago in my promoting days, I got a DJ mix from someone who had blatantly just mixed four records, then flipped over and mixed the B-side of each one. I called him on it when I emailed him back, and he kicked off at me saying that a DJ mix was there to showcase beatmatching more than it was tune selection.

I advised him his beatmatching was also off in a couple of places through the mix. He never got back to me.

i feel the answer is going to be "interpret it the way you want"... but does music released prior to 2014 but repressed/re-released in 2014 counts as 2014 music?

good thing i was planning on going down to the record shop tomorrow, i would have been so much better if i was in bristol for the nye one, got a crate full of charity shop tunes like rio and pump up the jam that came free with my decks
