Anyone using Windows 8 and FL Studio 11?

I'm about to get a new computer but Windows 8 seems kinda gimmicky. All I ever see advertised is the convertible laptop/tablet things. Any recommendations? I use Fruity Loops, so MAC isn't an option. I don't like any other DAW, so I'm not looking to debate of that. Also, what audio interfaces should I check out?

Windows 8 isn't really that much different from previous versions, all the gimmicky stuff really only applies to mobile devices but doesn't really make it any harder to use on a laptop or desktop. FL 11 is running fine for me, haven't had any issues. It's weird not having a start button but you get used to it pretty quickly.

As for an audio interface, anything with 2 inputs and 2 outputs should be fine, depending on your requirements.

For me, I use windows 8 and FLStudio 11 and the whole thing works like a dream. Also, I know overall that Windows 8 has a bad reputation amongst people because of it's "Metro" design to it. But honestly. I use none of it and only switch it into desktop mode. From there I use Startmenu8 for the whole windows 7 start menu thing and there you go.

Anyway, in terms of FLStudio 11. It works fine. It shouldn't really make much difference what OS you're using for it as long as it is compatible (So that's for example FLStudio on a Mac. Therefore you'd need something like bootcamp to get windows on it) and also the fact that you have like the minimal requirements to be able to run it. I currently run a:
Windows 8 64bit Operating System
Intel i7-3770k Quad Core Processor
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB Harddrive
nVidia GT630 Graphics Card
and fl studio works perfectly. I would invest particularly in at least 4+GB of RAM and a fairly high end processor. That will tackle latency and crackles whilst trying to play your track and it will keep the CPU process load low! If you're also having a problem with something like this. I would recommend you get ASIO4ALL which is a free software which to put it in short terms; "Focuses your audio so FL Studio can take over it and use it to it's full extent" correct me if I'm wrong. You could also just change up the buffer size (in ASIO to it's max to help too) or if you're using the Primary sound driver. You can turn up the Buffer Length to something higher.

I currently run 3232smp 74ms and it's fine, no crackles or anything and inside asio
2048
Hope that's helped or anything :)
