I think even I'd have trouble working in some mischief into an entirely subjective question such as this.

Punch Drunk for me. Hessle very close behind.

Forgot it, TBH.

1. Medi - sheer quantity + quality, nearly at 100 releases I think and theres probably only a handful I don't like or not that fussed about.
2. Hessle - early stuff is as good as Skull Discos stuff but imo the variety they have is amazing, theres a clear evolution of their sound throughout their back catalogue.
3. Skull Disco - just a solid bunch of releases.
4. DMZ - legendary
Punch Drunk has some of my favourite tunes on but at the same time a lot I don't care about at all.. I'm sure a lot of people feel that way about Medi tbh. My 5th choice would probably be Box Clever or Tectonic.

For me, I think the tunes on Punch Drunk are just that level above everything else. Hessle has the best overall tune in "Router" though. Would've considered Deep Medi more a few years back, but there hasn't been a medi release I cared about since "Dread". DMZ has always been overrated imo, and as far as Skull Disco goes, there's only a couple of releases that I ever liked enough to own.

no mention of tempa, medi, tectonic etc...
I kinda feel that apart from DMZ these labels all seem to be sitting slightly left of field, don't get me wrong I do like that stuff too I feel the straight-up dancefloor orientated side of things seems a little under-represented

I'd prefer Hessle & Punch Drunk to DMZ on the dancefloor...

1. DMZ 2. DEEP MEDi 3. Hyperdub
no need for defense wub, sound like gene throwing that "subjective" philosophy around.
I was obviously joking, place holding 1st post in a poll thread.

I don't view DMZ as a label in the classic sense, it's a medium for a couple of likeminded friends to release their artistic vision to the world. Same with Skull Disco to a smaller degree. It's a label no-doubt, but I don't think it's comparable to something like Deep Medi which is truly run and operated like a label as we know it.
To me it's a toss-up between Hotflush and Ghost.

Tempas had some absolute classic stuff, D1/Horsepower/early Skream & Benga ect.. but they've had some extremely average stuff too.

If you're talking about the prime years, hot flush was better than any of them, they just went wak like hyperdub

I totally get your point, I just wasn't sure quite how to phrase what I meant, there's not much "trad-dubstep" if you'll excuses the expression (I actually shivered typing that)

dmz - just the tunes that i fell in love with and still get the most enjoyment out of tbh, dmz007 may be b8 and stuff but it is just fucking ill
punch drunk- pev, rsd, guido, gemmy, superisk, that bristol vibe that's not as dark and 'punishing' but full of colour and vibrant, and plenty of tunes that don't just sound like dubstep with a heavy snare on the third
tempa/medi- not sure i could choose, early garagy shit on tempa + skream, and coki-tortured (possibly my favourite tune, hunted/ruffhouse stuff, and of course youngsta war cry (lol jk)
vs medi which seems to have more consistently high levels of tunes like the first 5, then all the silkie/quest etc stuff
i rate the techy hessle stuff, it's all fucking high quality but to my ears they're not the ones that get my hyped
bonus shouts: PLANET MU, tectonic, old hotflush

I voted Punch Drink because that's the only label i know because of Kahn. I don't bother following labels.

Imo I don't think there's a greatest dubstep label just because they all have such solid tunes as well as some Dodge ones (talking about the ones mentioned).
also how come chestplate and tectonic aren't listed?
