Where do i even start with making a bass like this?

sounds like it, i'll also consider to try use ohmicide and some kind of expender to make it bigger

i woudnt say its that hard to make, just layer some 808, and distorted massive growls (or fm slow growl) and mix them toghether, you can go to seamlessR youtube channel he have alot of fm tutorials maybe it can help you out.
