Hi DSF,

There's a fairly simple sounding bassline in a grime instrumental called Ghostfest by Preditah.

Can anyone identify the wave shape uses for this bassline? Any tips on getting mine to sound similar would be much appreciated. I know, it's simple but I'm trying to nail the lowish-midrange hum that he has going there.

I think what you're referring to is an 808 my friend you will find one in most trap packs

You can achieve the same effect by layering a sub with a long release underneath a lowpassed kick drum
