What do you look for in dubstep other than the most obvious aspects?

As far as my bedroom DJ sets are concerned, something that can get a dancefloor moving.

Something that's interesting about it/breaks it out of the usual cookie cutter moulds.

Something that comes at me completely unexpected and rocks some kind of groove. This can be anything from some crazy synth noise to a cool melodic line that might go in between some modes/keys to a sudden change in 'feel' like swing or even a time signature change. I also like it when artists really have an aesthetic down and the whole thing envelopes you in this atmosphere and instead of the track feeling like 'another dubstep track' it feels like something totally fresh and new.
This isn't really dubstep but I love listening to new Death Grips songs because they will go fucking anywhere at any time and that sporadic nature is exhilarating.
