What do you all think of disclosures new remix good kisser w/ usher? I've always been a disclosure fan, The Face EP was gold, Latch had some real good ones, and The Mechanism w/ Friend Within I liked. I was just not expecting Disclosure to take such a pop-ish turn as far as their music goes. Anyone feel the same? I'm still a fan of their stuff, i just really hope they make some of the tunes with a little less pop in them haha

The track is a bit paint-by-numbers for me. I'm not surprised at their direction at all, they worked well with vocal samples so it was unsurprising when they started working with proper vocalists. And from what I've read they don't have an extensive history as ravers or listening to dance music so the move towards more commercial pastures was to be expected. Not everyone who makes dance music has the same intentions or aspirations, some will be content with selling 500 records others will want No. 1's, some would have grown up listening to Cabaret Voltaire others might have grown up with more of a taste for R&B. It's funny when I see a community that prides itself on being open minded turn on artists as soon as they develop more of a 'pop' sound.

I definitely wouldn't say im "turning" on them, I still really enjoy disclosure and I think its important to respect an artists direction, but you certainly arent required to like it

It wasn't a critique of you, it was based on reactions I've seen from former fans towards the poppier direction.
