Hey Guys, Quick question, Dont flame me haha.

Converting FLAC to WAV? besides the inaudible/technical differences, Does it loose quality once converted?

Application: playing out,club systems

Tools: What the best tool for converting audio? I've got a few a use, Just want to check what y'all use

Also, Why does Surus store only sell Flacs & no WAV

Bigup

flac is as quality as it gets, anything below that has some form of quality degradation, audible or not

no loss in quality with a perfect converter

both lossless, audio is the same

flacs are smaller files though

i use foobar2000

because there's no difference and flacs take up less hosting space

There will be no difference when packing/unopacking FLAC. It's like RAR.
Trader's Little Helper is great for working with lossless files, it can also check them and can create ffp and md5 checksum files.

As said we're converting from lossless to lossless, we should end up with perfect conversion without any loss of data.

Of course any meta data that was in the FLAC will be lost due to WAV not supporting.

I use XLD for my conversion on MAC does the job pretty well.
