problem is i've been listening to rap and "home listening music" for a while now
don't wanna screw this opportunity so i wanna impress. what are the latest and greatest dancefloor annihilators in your opinion?
i'm immune to jokes so you can forget posting Tracks or other shite
especially '130' and night slugs style "hybrids" are interesting. something that works as a good transition between 4/4 and half time

you should be getting booked on your own style and tastes. asking people on the internet for help picking tunes means either you're not ready or the promoter has made a mistake booking you for a party you're not suitable for.
all of the above is IMO.
don't take it as a negative.
on a more positive suggestion tip, if you're stuck for tune ideas find a radio show or guest mix by an artist whose style you like and think is suitable, then dig through their tracklisting and google. blackdown and dusk usually include a few free on soundcloud tunes in their shows for example.

that's a pretty generous assumption. i'm not gonna apologize if i sound like a dick but i've been dj'ing for like 5 yrs and i got 300+ vinyl trust me i know my ish
and my usual way of picking up new tunes is just that: going through podcast and radio show playlists. i just decided to try a new approach this time, only to be trolled and patronized

not as much 130 stuff as you can probably find, but I don't listen to that much of it. Wen, Logos, Facta, Murlo, Alex Coulton and those guys are all on that tip. If you want more techno influenced stuff, look at Peverelist, Hodge, Batu, Asusu etc

yeah noticed that your list wasn't full on exactly what i was looking for but didn't wanna seem ungrateful and there were some gems there! just a lot of "chilled" stuff which i appreciate but perhaps not suited for this purpose
dj-wise i've been pretty concentrated on house for a while so i haven't been checking out bass releases but these got my attention, so guess i'm after for something like this (party oriented, hyped out bass hybrids)

What is the general vibe of the night?
What time is your set?
How is the system?
All these things will affect to some extent what you will play.
But at the end of the day: play what youre feeling, if you execute it well and show enthusiasm the crowd will respond better to this than a paint-by-numbers set of the trendy tunes/genres of the moment.

i know u tryna help but i got enough common sense and experience to determine what i should be playing, you don't need to worry bout that
apparently it wasn't clear enough in the OP but i'm not asking for instructions what to play or how to construct a set, just simply asking for your opinions on what are the best dance / club-oriented releases that have come out lately

well, then your original question was pretty badly worded
