Massive goes quiet

When I'm working on a track and using Massive quite a lot it tends to get quieter and quieter until it stops responding. Usually at this point I close my DAW and delete the 'NI Massive Database' file which usually sorts it out. But this time it hasn't worked. I had a sub patch I was really happy with, sat perfectly in the tune. But now it's virtually inaudible, it's lost all it's power. Can anyone help me?
