Buying a live chicken on the rambla and having it as a friend while you are there.

Animals are being eaten anyway. Why not eat fresh?
If you buy em in the supermarket you can be sure some other weirdo killed it in a way freakier manner
Think how much more exciting getting groceries and cooking would be with a market like that near you.

I do, but I don't really like processed meat etc.. Don't really want to spend a lot on meat either though.
Should move to a place where they have markets like that.
I want to scare my dinner into the oven. Kitchen would double as a petting zoo.

tbh everything about that city is brilliant, you can't go wrong imo.
I would recommend going to
http://www.salvador-dali.org/museus/tea ... /en_index/ despite the probable queue there. It's different and dope.
Other recommended bits would be hanging around spanish birds because they skin up all the time

Yeah that's probably good for some simple suggestions. Come to me for good ideas like
the kitchen/petting zoo.
Going by the link, hubb pretty much hit it on the head with the first reaction btw

Uncle nwj has three helpful, interesting suggestions for you:
1. The dudes trying to sell you chocolate are helpful.
2. Carry your wallet in a secure location, if back right pocket, like a decent person, wear something that snaps or buttons.
3. When someone is trying to make you a victim of a crime, stay positive.
I'm sure everything has changed, and my locations are all gone or changed.
Like somebody said, you can't go wrong.

Barcelona Cathedral (big)
Gothic quarter (pretty, watch out for pickpockets)
Aquarium Barcelona (shark tunnel is hench)
Museum Picasso (standard tourist queues but awesome to look at and around)
noam wrote:and whats REALLY good?
La Rambla (cannot stress enough how much you need to mind your fucking wallet here)
Nou Camp tour (most impressive stadium you'll ever see)
Dry Martini (cocktail bar, big fuck off G&Ts)
La Caseta Del Migdia (lounge bar place, great tune selection, hammocks)
Without knowing more specifics about your trip (when, how long etc) that's all I can recommend for the general touristy stuff. If you're planning to go to a club whilst over there, I recommend checking out
http://www.clubbingspain.com/agenda/ then filtering on Cataluna and the date(s) you'll be over there. Often throws up some hitherto unknown gems.
