SUBTRAKT 001 - Outta Here EP

artists: Janner, Snoman, Rodell, Defekta
release date: Oct. 15th 07
distribution: Triple Vision NL & ST Holdings Ltd

---------------------

Subtrakt, new label in the Subdivision series created to satisfy the need of UK exiles living in Europe, which already had a lot of pre-release attention like Maryanne Hobbs requesting the tunes for her show on UK´s radio 1.

First up is Jah Wednesday from Janner and Snoman, currently residing in Belgium. Sweet sounding oragn skank leads into rock solid beats which in turn are backed up by a thunderous, brooding b-line that morphs constantly throughout the track. Intense pressure on this, start to finish.
Croydon exile Defekta steps up to the table for the 1st time with Dub One, a fine blend of deep techy atmospheres and classic skank fuelled dub. The Gritty bass throbs in and out of the deep layered grooves keeping the flow nice and steady eddy.
Rumdog is probably not the sound you would expect from one of Rodells productions known to most in the hard techno scene and of late in the technoid dnb scene, working alongside Raiden in The Dying Punks. Rumdog is an organic sound that builds around a simple but infectious synth line complemented with dynamic delays and reverbs.
Last but by no means least Janner a former releasee on Moving Shadow has an outing on his own with Electricity. The deep, heaving bass is filtered in and out of a typical Janner styled step : 100% floor friendly… 100% Off-Road!!!

Peace, D
