Shure M44-7 settings

hi all,

I would like to know what's your best settings for shure m44-7, not for scratch, only mix...personally, by now, I set up my cartridge like this:

antiskating: 0
weight: 3g
height of arm: 0,5/1

m44-7 isn't really the best mixing cartridge but anyway:

antiskating should usually be 0 when mixing or scratching to prevent needle jumping

set weight to lighthest possible where needle doesn't jump too much. 3g is probably ok for m44-7

arm height depends on your slipmat. you should put needle on the record and adjust it so that the tonearm is horizontally aligned

44-7 is great for mixing imo. 3 grams seems high though - 2 should be fine.

3 is the usual. 2 might be too low. If your vinyls are a bit warped they're more likely to jump and damage the record when cueing.
