Don't think you can go too far wrong with a couple of these. Amazing bass response and they never jumpy jumpy.

they're real easy to fuck up by screwing em on too tight

i like these:

though I also like ortofon elektros. if you're playing dubplates, the shure's will be kinder to them.

Got two pairs of ortofons, never had a single problem with either, the balance is far better than shure carts, zero skip.

cdj1000mk2...plays dubs not out on record yet, wont skip if someone is rockin too close to you, wont skip if another drunk dj (or drunk mc) on the lineup tries to pullup a tune middle of your set, and never have to worry about ground hum/vinyl crackle/dirty records/skips and jumps or general bad quality...you know what you put in is exactly what it will put out.

yeah ortofons are too expensive for the life span you get out of them...they do sound nice and all...but sure's will last for years and years.

cdjs1000mk2s will skip from vibrations...Ive learned the hard way. So keep that in mind.

A pluss for the concords (I have the nightclub S) its easier to put the needle in the right grove fast, at the edge/first drop/second . . .

I cant comment the bass on the shures, but the bass in nightclub S and Concorde Q.bert is deep, and yet no feedback problems caused by the needles . . .

i've got the ortofon nightclubs S and they rock it sure and steady.... temporarily traded them out with some back-up stantons when one broke and for sure heard the difference.

they sure enough did break, but I gave them good wear and tear and they sounded great so it was worth it to me
