Crunchy Snare

Just wanna know how to make that Really crunchy snare I've heard in Skrillex's - Fire away (The little fill thing before the snare) and KOANsound's Dynasty.
Quite a nice sound, I'm guessing it's just some really distorted clap with some form of vocal EQ?
Any help ideas would be great!
