sinn7 status 24 96 help

hello,
i recently purchased one of these from a friend and have set it up to my crown xti1000 amp then onto my dynaudio bm15p's.
the trouble I'm having is connecting my turntable into my sound card and get sound out of it?
im plugging it into my input on the sinn7 via jacks and there seems to be sound coming through the sinn7 as the light flash up and down when the sound plus yet nothing comes out?
also the sound card is running through a mac if that makes any difference?
please someone help me before i lose my mind xxxxx
