As you will have noticed, when you login today there was a screen requesting that you re-enter your new password to transfer your account over to the new system. At this point and this point only, you have the option to change your user name.

If you did you not change your username at this time, the option is no longer available and your username cannot be changed.

Any specific issues, please post in this thread or PM me and I will pass onto admin.

Yeh, you know the problem I have

it was messing up for me at first, keeping same username and password would just take me back to the transfer page after login. about time for a name change though, cheers for the opportunity to do so.

Changed my username to Trichome during the switchover, and my password as it was too short for the new system.

Tried logging in and its saying wrong password. I defo didn't mistype it (especially since you have to confirm it)

Also when I try resetting my password I get the message "you are not authorised to request a new password"

would like some assistance, can prove its me with an email/ip address or something?

^Never mind, didn't clock that usernames are case sensitive
Probably should have stated that, easy mistake to make.

Don't worry dude, I have access now. It wouldn't let me log in without caplitalising the T in Trichome. It was very confusing as it was giving me an incorrect password message, I had no clue it was due to the username being case sensitive. Might want to look into making them insensitive or displaying a better error message to avoid confusion.

Yeah the logout time has been shortened, but if you select 'log me in automatically' you won't be asked again.

I'm not sure how long does it take for phpBB session to expire (probably one hour -- I'll fix it), but if you want permanent login now, login here: https://www.dubstepforum.com/login (with "Log me..." checked") -- it will work for sure.

So, whenever I logged in earlier I selected "log me in automatically". I tried logging out, so that I could login again to maybe reset the automatic login action, but I got this error message, "You were not logged out, as the request did not match your session. Please contact the board administrator if you continue to experience problems." odd

Okay, I just got logged out, but I selected the auto option on my way back. I'll let you know if I get logged out again.

Worth deleting cookies if people are still having problems - I was being presented with the change username page every time I tried to log in earlier (it only actually worked the first time it displayed - you could fill it in again but the submit button didn't do ought), but getting rid of the DSF cookie seemed to sort it.
