if you are happy with how they sound you might consider resample them into another audio channel
or try bouncing just the hi hat channel and check if its still wierdly overreduxing
if so it could be sth with the output settings of your ableton?

Because of the limited sample rate of the bounce?

Yeah I would guess that it would be something to do with converting the audio to some lower quality when you export...no clue why though. I don't know how redux works exactly. It might be something like the vinyl effect...I don't quite understand how it works either but it seems to operate on it's own vs what is ran through it.
Easy fix is to freeze / flatten and then you print everything to an audio clip and set it in stone. I would say just freeze the track but I am not sure if Ableton exports from the frozen audio clip or back from the midi info. As a warning, flattening replaces your midI track so you mifht want to duplicate it and set it aside as backup.

Redux is a downsampler and bitcrusher.

So it would down sample from an export setting? ...like if you were working in 32bit but exported to 16bit, it would downsample from 16 instead?
