Audio sounds different in Edison (FL Studio)

Just a quick question hoping someone can help.
When I'm making a snare I will use several layers, once i'm happy with the balance of each layer I'll record into Edison so I can drag it back in as one sample and start processing. The problem however, is once I've dragged over from Edison back into the step sequencer it doesn't sound as full. It's like the velocity has been turned down and it's no longer punchy.
Does anyone know why this is? It's bugging the hell out of me. Cheers!

Turn the sample up to 91% or .80, you'll get the same level as edison. Turning it all the way up will be a couple of db's louder. Fl is set up like this to be friendly to new users who are often inexperienced in production, as I'm sure you (OP) can appreciate.
Start to learn the difference between full and loud. One way to do that is with your ears, and another way is to check yer freakin meters mate. Watch those peaks. If you check the peak after you drag it into your sampler channel, you'll see that it is just about 3db quieter.
When you're comparing sounds, always try to make sure that you are comparing them at the same volume.
Volume is crack, and your ears are Whitney Houston.

Point is, volume of samples dropped in the sequencer are less than those dropped straight in the playlist, by design. Normalize the two however you like and make your comparison that way. I think the only difference you're hearing is just volume, turn one up or the other down or whatever and make your match that way.
