Flags mean very little to me, just a way of displaying what country something is from

Having that flag is a bit shit though, a constant reminder of the past, they are now an independent country. I'm surprised Australia still have the same flag, do any other countries have our flag on theirs? flag

yeah but it's fashionable to bash the poor again here sadly. they could have even thought about fixing up post-quake Christchurch a wee bit quicker or showing concern about the impending strain on the superannuation fund but oh well.
I see heaps of dudes around the place who fly the silver fern on black. cringeworthy.
Personally it's a waste of time and money but given the choice I've always had a soft spot for Hundertwassers' idea

You mean the All Blacks flag? You cringe when you see people supporting the AB's?
Personally, I like the simplicity of the silver fern on black. My biggest concern it that they're going to over complicate it with too much of a cultural impact which personally, I feel isn't reflective of most new zealanders
Shum, Hundertwassers flag design is horrendous. I'd have to stop myself from vomiting every time I see it.
Keep the same flag, pump that coin into chch or Auckland roading. Isn't this just some big TPPA distraction anyway?

I cringe when I see them flying this on a pole on their front yard, especially when it has "New Zealand" written on it, as though they've forgotten where they are exactly.
