It’s been a long time coming… With 24 Dub Police releases dating back to 2007, Alex Crawford is the label’s most long-standing, heavily-released family member. His dynamic style has been articulated in many ways over the years: his critically acclaimed debut LP ‘Red Planet’ showed the world just how deep and diverse he could flex. As did this summer’s heavyweight double-header ‘MyStyle’ sampler ‘Voyager’ and ‘Amazonia VIP’… The consummate tease for this extraordinary mix.
Curating and weaving 28 moments of solid sonic gold – including 16 previously unobtainable tracks and eight of his own solo and collaborative productions – The Others has gone to great lengths to represent the entire sub bass spectrum with sharp, slick consistency. Morphing, mutating and shifting through the genre’s many colours, we’re submersed in deep space textures, low-end funk, iced-out fracturisms and stark slices of unfettered euphoria. Each moment wholly complementary to the last; this mix truly deserves ‘journey’ status.
Of course The Others isn’t travelling alone: joining us on this journey are some of the most respected men in the game… present and future: Icicle, J:Kenzo, Subscape, Biome, Plastician, Thelem, Sleeper, Mydas, Variations, Minzo, Bukez Finezt and many more have contributed some of their best work, allowing The Others to convey his explorations and passion for the genre at the highest level of dexterity and dedication.
