I think it would be interesting to see who has shelled for those high priced bits of wax we all yearn to have so much.
The most I've paid is £50 for Bandulu001 repress.
SHUT UP!
Worth every penny to me though

I paid 10 or so for my copy a couple of months back.* buying vinyl is all about patience. just wait it out, you'll find everything sooner or later for at an acceptable price...
*correction: I paid 11quid in total for this order:
169374184: Pinch (2) - The Boxer (12") (Tectonic)
169374387: Distance* - No Warning / Jungle Fears (12") (Chestplate)
169374824: Kryptic Minds - One Of Us / Six Degrees (12") (Swamp 81)
169374836: Quest* - Smooth Skin / Wind Tunnel (12") (Deep Medi Musik)
patience etc.

I've paid £40+ for some Dmz's. There's others as well like kalawanji. Got neverland for 30 and twis up for 20 which I was pretty chuffed about, that's how bad it is. I don't buy a lot of vinyls, especially new things. The way I see it I'd rather get a classic dmz plate than say four new tempa records or something like that.
It doesn't look like they're gonna go down in price in the near future but maybe some day. I've seen people saying on another forum that Alex reece pulp fiction used to go for 40 on eBay abd I got it for £3 on discogs. The only jungle dnb records that stay high priced today seem to have been more limited presses than the Dmz's so there's hope with time they'll come down at some point. My dream at the moment is to find a dmz002 for a reasonable price, and that probably means £50 or under atm.
Also did anyone see in that mala interview for Audeze he was saying he likes the idea of someone working hard and saving up to pay for a dmz007 and won't repress cos that makes it special for those people who are willing to do it. Bit of a weird thing to say.

I had the money. I wanted the record. Kinda it really, I don't regret it at all. I play it a lot and get a lot of pleasure out of it.

When i heard this i was split. I though it was cool as, like you explained, people have to save up to buy a limited press. If he was to repress now, the guys who spent £100+ would be devastated.
But on the other hand, if DMZ007 was repressed, i think 1000 could get sold... think of all that income. I can only guess that those guys (Mala etc) aren't strapped for cash?. The whole thing about only pressing 300 or whatever is a never-ending debate though
My thought is that TANMUSHIMUSHI is actually a secret group of Mala etc who sell their own stuff for silly prices once they've sold out.
I also bought Kryptic Minds - Namaste for £40 which is my other big spend.
Neverland will always be on my wantlist, but doubt i'll ever find it for a reasonable price..

that's not what he said. he said he is very impressed when someone comes up to him and tells him that he spent 100 quid on a dmz, that he feels it would be disrespectful towards those people that spend their hard earned money.
he never said he wants people to pay that much and i'm pretty sure he even said somewhere he doesn't think those records are worth that amount of money.
most i spent was probably 90 euro on the Jungle Infiltrator EP. but i sold my spare copy of rufage, so it was almost a swap for me.
got dmz002 for 45 pounds. neverland for 20 eur and dmz007 for 60 eur. and some other good deals. like jrkhnds said it's a matter of being patient.

dropped 25 on earth a run red, knew it was an instant buy for me and i mix it all the time,
more dubious was spending 20 on gangsta 4 life white label, then realising the full greensleeves release version was still in stock at sounds of the universe, but it does look ard
bootleg007 all the way tho

Thats how I see it, I'd pay that for DMZ002 if I had the money spare. I'm forever pissing my money away on shit, at least with vinyl I actually have something to show for it. I've spent more than £107 on a night out on a number of occasions and had nothing to show for it but a stinkin' hangover and no recollection of the night.
Most I've paid is £250 for that limited Aphex boxset. Ridiculously priced but I got paid cash for a job I did so it was there ready to spend... brought it and decided not to go out weekend. Will hold its value as well.
2nd most is probably ASBO 001 mint for £40, I think you can pick it up cheaper but it was a mint unplayed copy so worth the extra £$£$ imo.

Yeah me too, If I would just save some money for a bit I'm sure I would be able to buy myself a copy of DMZ007 soon... That would be my first choice when it comes to DMZ.
@Riddles - impressive

So glad i've heard this like-minded chat.
I justify every vinyl i buy... usually by not buying those extra/any beers on the night out.
Vinyl holds its value quite well, and a that hangover i never got when saving for Disko Rekah was a win-win!
