I think the last proper DnB show I went to before falling off the edge of the planet and turning into a g'rup was Tech Itch in this shitty little dank basement under a bar in the middle of what was then no-man's land in SF: there were like 25 people, and it felt like someone throwing a party in their mom's basement that could've been busted at any time. Danced my ass off - one of the highlights of my time in that scene. The gal that came with me was hot for me at the time but I wasn't into her, at least in some part due to her 'not getting it'. Non sequitur - she died a few years later.
Eventually the shows dried up for a good long while after that and dubstep was just getting rolling.
Nostalgia's a bittersweet whore.
Nice to hear the man again.

thats nice
wasn't my intention to shit on him but i've heard the opposite from a lot of people
tbh tbh tbh
I'm always surprised at how how very common a terrible attitude is in that scene
I hope the long flight over means you get the people that give at least a tiny fuck..?

You have been lucky, because I wouldn't even say that it could have been me that was unlucky ... my experience is that it's a completely rotten scene. .. apart from a few guys like raiden who is a sweetheart and such a trooper..
maybe the newer minimal scene is better though.. different people etc
I dunno I do love dnb dont get me wrong..
I think and I dont know the number but I have had completely unreasonable dealings with at least five different lables and basically gave up on trying to make dnb. I've recently picked it up again though..

I don't know who you've een dealing with, but every artist we've had so far (off the top of my head; Amoss, Sam Binga & Redders, Optiv & BTK, Om Unit, Skeptical, Icicle, Enei, Ant TC1, Mefjus, Emperor, Survival, Spectrasoul, Benny Page, Break, Hybris, Octane & DLR, Cern...) has at the very least been friendly, cooperative and - with one exception - professional. some of these people I would now even consider friends.

Yeah fair enough those guys hang around in what I would call the newer minimal dnb scene. It's probably around the time that came about that I was getting a little sick of it all, though especially dlr and octane and ulterior motive is imo some of the best stuff ever. Dispatch is cool
I talked a bit with one of the amoss guys and he's super nice... Andy maybe?
And Emperor ofcourse.
