How do i boost my mixes everytime i record a track its very low and i dont know what to use to boost the mix limiter compressor etc

And what level do i boost it to

Limiter, but be careful with the settings. Dont squeeze the life out of the dynamics.

Crappy mix = low volume no matter what you do (apart from transforming the whole track into a square wave with hard clipping).

Good mix = average volume automatically, can be pushed to be semi-loud without much quality loss.

Ultra-flat very clean "how the fuck is this possible?" type of mix you hear from some artists = Usually loud as hell and still mostly sounds good.

Raped stuff = loud, but sounds shit.
