I suppose i'm a newcomer. Loving the small-worldness yet huge foreign following dubstep and grime has now acheived. I guss this has a lot to do with the good-natured feel of Reggae and dub which paved the way for urban musics worldwide appreciation. .I hear the names of a lot of the posters on this site (deapoh, boomnoise etc) bigged up on radio shows on rinse like Stella sessions and that. Also heard sum 1 bigging up the old hill thugs N16, which is very funny to me as I literally live round the corner from Oldhill St!!! I heavily got into the programme "Lost" and dubstep at the same time and I am wondering if there is any other crossovers between these two followings. I love that dubstep works best in a mix like drum'n'bass (or most music for that matter!) and will continue to bang my efforts out on Reason!

Greetings Dubsteppers worldwide!

Another new Disciple to the Sound from Berlin, here!

I was just told by Kode9 @raumklang,berlin about barefiles.com and found my way from there to here.
Largeup Depoah for providing the soundtrack to my life since then. What you do is invaluable, for the people who love to hear this sound, the djs and producers !!!
I heard DMZ here about a year ago and some of their tunes made my heart and mind explode but somehow I was so stupid to think it was just some kind of special instrumental grime....I never imagined there is a whole genre of this music until Maxximus and Freak Camp started bringing Kode9,Skream and the Sound down to Berlin.
Now I am unhappy when I reach a normal club and have to take my headphones out and listen to Reggae,Minimal or Breakz instead of these fantasitc deepdarkmystic Dubstepmixes.
Give Thanks!

Blessup the Dubstepforummassive !

yes hello - similar - got taken dmz last year. been rdg the forum for a while. dip in and out of things, a.d.d. child, journalist, student, bedroom dj. no money for records due to bizarre decision to b student for 3 more years. live vicariously thro others' discussions of fine releases. yes dubstep is like lost! mystery, eeriness, suprise, moments of uncanny beauty. innit.

haven't had much time to get on with production, am in my final year at uni but come the summer .....
really wanna go to a night outside bristol to see whats going on, so i'll prob be begging lifts at some stage.

Hey riff been tryin to see if there are any dubstep nights goin on in dublin. I don't get home too often. Anything happening?

not much really

the first hint of dubstep I've noticed is that boxcutter is playing (in the legal eagel of all places)

I've played a few bits out to really positive reaction actually which was nice
