im sure most people on here really like dubstep or they wouldnt bother visiting the site?

anyway i love it for basically two reasons: space and bass. always used to listen to faster and more splenetic music (mostly IDM and darker/techier end of drum and bass, and a bit of jungle). but when i heard dubstep it just clicked and i know it sounds cheesy but i think this is the music id been searching for for years. lots of people take issue with the supposed 'slowness' of dubstep but this is what i love about it, gives much more chance to actually appreciate the music.
years ago i used to like trip hop and i suppose the deeper/more soulful side (vaccine etc) of dubstep thats emerging is harking back to my old love for that. and how could anyone not love the bass?

i used to have such a wide taste in music but largely only listen to dubstep nowadays, bit of a shame in a way but when you love something nothing else matters :P

It's all about the Sub for me ive always been a Basshead but when Dubstep first hit me i was completely blown away by it's raw power. Can't explain my love for bass but i suppose it goes back to childhood when i would stay up past bedtime listening with my ear to the wall to the next door neighbours Ragga, Reggae and Dub.That Rastaman had a nasty soundsystem.

Like Badger i have found myself listening to Dubstep more than any other music.I was like that with Jungle back in the day.

Like most, bass seems the common driver in why I like dubstep, as I like the more sub driven techno/dub/dnb styles as well - it just moves me like no other music does.

I like dipping in and out of the scene alot, keeps it fresh (like not listening to dubstep for a week or so, and coming back it sounds great again).
For me dubstep came at a time where I had just about given up on music as a major part of my life, and I'm glad that it still is, though probably not as much as before.

One thing it has given me is a wider access to musical styles that I never had before through forumheads on this forum and others, and also some blogs out there. Wouldn't have know about then at all if I had never caught a Hatcha Rinse set over 2 years ago.

The 1st music to really hit me was Jungle, straight away - bang! Till then it was reggae/ragga/rave - but Jungle did the lot - I've been through House, Tech House, Minimal, Electronica, (Good) Hip Hop etc etc and till now the only music that really hit me was Dubstep - its circular!

For me its all about the Bass & the vibes, always has been! If I ever need reminding why I love it so much then I drop Loefah "Mud" - pure unadulterated bass pleasure!

EDIT: *drops Loefah - Mud
