Hmm, could it be "our" Burial?

On the 12" there:
Side A
1. Flux (Extended Version)
Side B
1. Flux (Extended Instrumental)
2. Where Is Home? (Burial Mix)

yeah, when (the south london) burial first came out i just assumed it was connected with rhythm n sound. in some ways not that far removed either; minimal, reverb-fogged audio-swamps. hyperdub just added some beats.

I highly doubt R&S would do this kind of remix. I could be wrong though.
word on the inter tubes, ( as reliable as that is), is that moritz and mark are no longer going to produce under the R&S name.
So that leaves...

ditto
and yeah they arent producing under the R&S moniker any longer and the last activity from the duo stamp it was that classy compilation of remixes to See Mi Yah.
Anyway and regarding to the thread its a bit weird cos it made me remind of something else with a Burial Mix on it, back into 95 and Rootsman released an album titled
In Dub We Trust with a Burial Mix for the 1st tune and till now never realised if its from the Burial Mix camp or if its another completely different human being.

Bloc Party always get hot remixers for their tunes, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is by Burial.

This should be good. Burial is the master of fucked up vocals, would like to see what he does to the vocodery bits on this. Listening to the original properly for the first time now... sounds a bit trancey, but it's ok.
Might have to bag this

He's remixing "Where is home", not "Flux".

Can't wait to hear what he does with the howling chorus!

I didn't get the second album, but i just heard Where is Home, not their best track musically, but love the lyrics, so chances are this remix is going to be amazing. Well it's burial, i'm stating the obvious.
Any word on the Thom Yorke remix anyone?

Possibly of minimal relevance, but I quite like the Break and Silent Witness remix of Bloc Party.
I don't like Bloc Party though.

According to Kevin Martin Burial has done a Thom Yorke remix also, so this gives the impression he's not adverse to a bit of mainstream remixity. That said...he'll have to murder the original audio for me to be interested in anything Bloc party related.

This is really rather good.
but i would prefer for burial to deal with as few known quantities as possible.
this kinda sits at odd for me with the (musical) integrity of the album which is all about the unplaceable sounds. recognizing that geezer from bloc party in the mix takes away a bit of the magic.
