Die Freak Camp Session im Dezember reflektiert die rasante internationale Ausbreitung, die Dubstep in den vergangenen zwei Jahren erlebt hat. Die Gast-DJs kommen aus drei verschiedenen europäischen Ländern: Tes La Rok ist in Finnland zuhause, Scuba kommt aus dem Dubstep-Mutterland Großbritannien und das Duo The SubDivision hat seinen Wohnsitz in Italien.

Tes La Rok ist im Augenblick sicher einer der begehrtesten Produzenten der Dubstep-Szene. Noch 2006 nur wenigen Insidern bekannt, hat er in diesem Jahr mit einer Vielzahl von Veröffentlichungen für Aufsehen gesorgt – allen voran sein Remix von „Around The World Girls“ des amerikanischen Reggae-Sängers Uncle Sam. Er ist bereits zum zweiten Mal beim Freak Camp zu Gast.

Paul Rose alias Scuba ist der Gründer des einflussreichen Labels Hotflush Recordings. Die Platten auf Hotflush decken das gesamten stilistische Spektrum des Genres – von tanzflächenorientiert bis experimentell – ab und sind ähnlich vielseitig wie seine DJ-Sets. Paul lebt seit Herbst 2007 in Berlin und arbeitet an einem Scuba-Album, das Anfang 2008 erscheinen soll.

The SubDivision sind zwei Produzenten und DJs aus Mailand und haben sich der dunklen Dubstep-Variante verschrieben. Ihre erste Maxisingle erscheint im Dzember auf dem in Bristol ansässigen Label „Mode Records“.

This Freak Camp Session will be a truly international affair. We've got guests from three different European countries: Bad boy Tes La Rok reps for Finland, Hotflush founder Paul Rose aka Scuba for the dubstep motherland and The SubDivision add some Italian flavour.

Make sure to get there - it will be the last Freak Camp Session before the smoking ban hits Berlin!

alright, this is gonna be fun!! the scuba albizzum is in a league of its own, and i hear the subdivision is gracing us with some semi-live ableton goodness on this nite! and i'm sure we can expect pure fire from the man like teslarok... what can go wrong??!! see ya there!

1. the party goes 'til 6 am - here's the time table:

11-1 freak camp
1-2 the subdivision
2-3:30 tes la rok
3:30-5:00 scuba
5:00-6:00 freak camp

there's a parking lot right beside the club which is definitely safe but might cost you a euro or two - generally it's safe to park anywhere on the streets in this area, e.g. in front of the club

i dunno how does it work in Berlin, is it possible to step out of the club and then come back?

ye...you get stamped at the entrance, at least that s how it normally is over here... so you could walk in & out hundreds of times.... though, you ld prolly get some weird looks after the first 50-100 times; add some jawside action while doing so and and talk to some illusionary friends and your safe again tho :P
