Fucking awesome places - Managed to pick up fifa 07 for a fiver, my mate got a belter telly with stand for 90 quid and i'm gona go back and pick up a monster of a stereo with surround sound for 90 bucks too.

Who am i to care if I'm funding some rogue dealer who cashes in on other peoples misfortunes?Time frittered away listening to my new stereo and playing fifa will soon conquer my feelings for others.

Any of yous picked up any deals?

Ive always found places like those tacky and expensive in terms of quality etc.

I usually stick to buying online.

dunno i wasnt really in there for the classy shop, i was there for the scallyness. All the electronic gear there was all good names (sony, kenwood, pioneer etc) and came with full year guarantees.

But you know, if your too much of a snob to be caught in these places then...

Well the way in shops like those where everything is just literally chucked onto shelves etc and you basically get what you see which puts me off. I like having goods in their original packaging etc.

Just personal preference I guess.

You mean Smack Convertors?

They do sell some ok stuff, but I'm pretty sure a few of my possessions have ended up there after being pawned by some junkie thief.

Pretty sure thats where my last bike ended up.

I still stop and take a good look every time I see a blue specialized roll past. The other day I actually stopped the car to have a look at one. I think the guy riding it thought I was gonna jump him or something, cos he fair sped off!

Anyways, because of such things I try to avoid buying stuff there, but I know it won't make any difference...

I got this wicked blue bike out of Cash Converters when I was staying in Glasgow. Real top of the range stuff, only 50 quid.

Left with a fucking bin bag full of old SNES games once as well, kept me happy for months.

Whenever I've been in there's generally nothing that's well priced.

Surely it'd be better to cut out the middle man and just place an order with your local skaghead. Quids in I think

I need a new mixer and a subwoofer. If CC sold smack it'd be like an all in one solution to the junkie in a hurry

the ones in glasgow will give you a good deal on a ten bag "under the counter" styles. No joy as yet with that down here.
