Earlier this week I posted a video which demonstrated my long, arduous journey by train from NYC to Berlin. An impossible journey.
Please enjoy the song 'Anti-Corporate Music^ which was used in that short video.
You may only listen to this, it is for your personal collection only- you may not distribute it on Soundcloud or your blog any website. etc etc...Thank you for listening!
here is your link: According to Wetransfer this should be okay smile emoticon http://we.tl/EBwxHu9mo7
Some people refer to it as 'hype!' Its flirting with the power of collective consciousness. Its Promoganza! This is your final taste. I won't refer to this project again until it\s released. Stay tuned!!!
Now, I'm en route to Helsinki. Can't wait to play tonight/ I love this shiz.
PLaying 2niteWith Katerina and Lil Toni!

I remember him playing this one at Berghain and was hoping it was new Levon. I'm really excited for this album!
There were a couple more tracks that he played that I had never heard before and assumed it was his own. Hoping to see those on this LP.
FRiends, I am very happy to announce today, the release of my debut self-titled LP on Novel Sound. Its been a long wait! It is a proud day.
It hits shops tomorrow, here it is on MP3: http://we.tl/38uk3tlBRx
Thanks to the people who gave me my start- my entire nyc family too numerous to mention individually but you know who you are and you know how I feel about you, especially Fred qu Joey Ed Anthony. ben Klock marcel dettman ND Tama Snax and every single other member of the berghain ostgut Ton world community, phonica and fabric, thanks to the uk for embracing me first. Thank you to Deutschland, Thomas Fern and Hazel, ASCD I wish you the best. Thank you eternally to Martin and rubadub. Thank you to the shops who sustained me while I worked in solitude, five elephant, new deli yoga, Charlie's and anaveda, geipfelltrakne, the deconstruct yacht club, uzuri Aybee Lerato and Kerstin and Linus, all the partygoers of the world, and all the countries gracious enough to invite me- thank you the most.
And special thank you to anyone I may have forgotten here- I'll get you next time I promise.
This is music for the ugly ducklings of the world. Music for swans. If you are you're a member of the rat race, climbing around a dumpster with the other rats vying for power, you may of course listen, but know - this is not music for you. This is action against you.

in my opinion, it completely fails as an album. would've preferred four individual 12" releases. it's just a load of (good) club bangers isn't it.
then again it depends on what you expect from an album.

so like most electronic music albums?

um, I don't know. most? I can think of a lot of (recent-ish) good albums that weren't afraid to explore some new angles and put less focus on the club. and even if they were mainly bangers, shifts in tempo and style often makes the whole thing more bearable than listening to a 120bpm 4x4 kick for 50 minutes straight.
anyway, big tunes, just not what I was hoping for.

just cause it's a collection of not so club friendly tunes doesn't mean it's not just a collection of tunes
imo the way albums are viewed is still rooted in rock culture - and that's a bit unfair

how's that unfair? listening to the record in one take is very exhausting and becomes boring at some point. if it wasn't the artist's intention of presenting the whole thing as a unit (and once more, I think the unit as a whole isn't very enjoyable, although most of its elements are), why selling four plates together? the album format opens up artistic possibilities; displaying an hour's worth of your creations instead of pushing single after single - I'd rather have people make use of this instead of doing the same thing they could achieve with a bunch of singles.
if it's just eleven tunes for the DJ bag, fair enough, but that's not what I was hoping for. maybe I didn't follow the announcements enough, maybe Levon Vincent stated somewhere that it'll be mainly classic Levon Vincent club cuts and I missed it, would've certainly helped to adjust my expectations beforehand.

it's unfair cause it's easier to get a cohesive piece when you record the album in a limited amount of time, with a certain mindset, on a limited set of instruments, in a studio with a producer, instead of sending loads of beats you made over months or years to your label head who then chooses which tunes make the cut - and i imagine it's even harder if it's your own label

Wait people who still listen to dubstep are actually criticizing this album? LOL

So, in other words, you're saying electronic music producers lack focus and work ethos, so that makes high expectations towards an electronic album somehow unfair? What prevents them from limiting themselves in time, production methods, sounds used, equipment..?
