Midi Cables... oooh sexy topic!

Anybody making your own midicables?
I've got a bunch of long midi cables, I'd love to cut em in half and put new 5 pin plugs on the cut ends, double my # of cables, shorten my runs.
Anybody ever done such a thing?

I have only done it once.
Had 2 cables what were shitty and on either ends so I just soldered the head of one into the other.
Works, still use it.

lol i would only do this if i was ok with screwing up a couple cables with bad soldering

Naw, not really, but I've done some cables, switches, you know, just enough to be dangerous.

Just do it. If u can solder you won't have any issues ahahaha. I can't so I always fuck cables up.

Lot easier than signal cables imo. I don't solder either on a regular basis though.

Thats cos they arent midi connectors they are DIN 5 pin connectors
