Lighter Fluid.

Works a treat on vinyl.

flipping hell, be careful with that. You don't want to see your dubs go up in flames.

i worked in secondhand vinyl stores for 6 years, and we used lighter fluid as a last resort, & only once as it will deterioate the vinyl if you overdo it.

my thinking is that acetate must be more sensitive than vinyl, as simply playing them degrades them.....so wouldn't lighter fluid be a little harsh?

lighter fluid is good for dissolving dirt, but warm, slightly soapy water is actually the best for a once-over on normal vinyl in my experience....

anyone shed any light?

need to know a tried and tested ting, or i will just use my normal tricks...

I would go with the soap and water.
Lighter fluid seems very harsh for an acetate.

Soap and water always does the trick for me.

Spoke to Jason from Transition about this..

Apparently lighter fluid is one of the WORST possible things you can put on Dubz.. Image

Ionized water is the best thing to use..

Sure it won't be too bad...
..just that continually using it to clean them will probably eventually fcuk the acetate..

Was advised to use de-ionized water, a lint-free cloth and to wipe the dub in a clockwise motion!!
