DIY soundsystem

hows things,

me and a mate are concidering building our own soundsystem

We're looking around for the ingredients we might need for this at the moment.So if any one has done this or has any advice,let us know.

With dubstep in mind of course.

My first bit of advice would be do it! Ive built my own soundsystem (see picture) with a mate and its a lot of fun to build and use. What you can do is limited mostly by money, then your carpentery skills, then your imagination. Do you have any sort of idea what your budget is? I could give you an idea of what you can get/build for the money and point you in the right direction in terms of what sort of gear u want for pounding out dubstep.

definately go to speakerplans.com as djake suggested, its got to be one of the best forums to do with building ur own rig.

well heres the fruit of our labours.

We've built two of these scoops so far and the whole lot will be 5k when its finished.

We are quit pleased

all depends how much money you have! www.squatjuice.com might be good for you. There are alot of people on there who have build rigs of all shapes and sizes.

the website looked well interesting. i'd love to make my own sub for producing to go with my monitors. anyone think buying a sub and enclosure for cars etc would be good for home use and how would it be powered with my monitors??

no they sound shit....n would be shit for producing with aswell cause there designed for cars... not square rooms
