Does anyone else's copy have a staticky hissing sound through it or is my copy fucked? The other two tracks are sweet on my copy of it.

that track just doesn't sound right in general. Drums sound muddy, bass is too upfront, melody is mixed way in the back. At least with my copy. Shame coz it's a good tune.
But indeed, Tes' tracks on the flip sound fine

don't know about any hissing or stuff like that, my copy plays loud & clear.
about clouds overall...
obviously there are "rules" of a good mixdown (specially in dubstep) but there's no right or wrong. it's all about the listener. clouds has a flavor built of hissy samples, live instruments and sounds found and digged from where ever, so their sound shouldn't be directly compared to a tune by, lets say benga

i mean clouds have this certain edge in their style and sound, and that's the thing that makes them what they are.
i personally hate all the labeling and rah rah about "jazzy vibed post - step with a pinch of elvis" but i can say about clouds, knowing about their musical backround, that they do sometimes roll with a folkguitar on their backs..
or something like that. shallow's one of the biggest tune for me. chills down the spine biz! big up!

zacto.. its no fruity loops build, render to disk, master and cut .. i suspect there may be real instruments and shock horror a mixing desk involved in the build of this track, big up clouds. tune of the year for me

It is big 12"
I dont understand why people moan about if it sounds lo-fi.
To me this track is like old dj shadow meets dubstep. Looks like it's sold out everywhere.
