Hey I've been listening to a lot of the new soundcloud wave producers and I hear this synth EVERYWHERE! A good example is that first synth in this song that continues throughout https://soundcloud.com/eternalxsleep/anime-eyes . Any help would be really appreciated
second one is just really harsh sounding minor saw stabs arpeggiated.. no idea why'd u wanna recreate that.
I know this may sound patronizing or even discouraging but you can either get quality VST's with already-amazing presets, learn basic synthesis to do what you want with what you have or just sample tunes you like. you'll get there eventually but it's hard work

you know there's much more to this than I gave credit to for a very long time. If you hear something in a tune that inspires you, there's absolutely nothing stopping you form sampling it and then processing it. Maybe pitch it down, slow it a bit, add some automation flicks, loop a bit, arrange it how you like and build a new tune around it. For years I was like "but that's cheating", but actually it isn't. Just taking it and copy pasting it into a tune and saying 'done' is cheating. If I took this lesson ages ago I could have saved myself so much unnecessary long winded crap. trying to be 'too pure' definitely hinders you in many ways.
