Speaker poppin with bass, but only one side

My left speaker makes a kind of distorted bubble popping sound at low frequencies with fast transients. It's not consistent either, it's only happens 5% of the time or something.
What do you think it is and how can I fix it? The right side is perfectly fine

What kind of speaker do you have?
From your description is sounds like the woofer might have a damaged surround (the foam bit that flexes). Look for a tear in the outer ring of the speaker or any gaps between the speaker cone and the bin. Luckily if you find this to be the case, its really easy to fix yourself most of the time.
If its only happening 5% of the time, maybe you are just clipping the shit out of your speaker tho haha

I can't be clipping the speaker because my amp is 100w and the rating of the speaker is 180w... I think it must be the surround, the speakers are NS-20m with the same 'woofer' as the NS-10M so not exactly big on bass

You will be able to see any damage to the surround quite easily.

It seems to only happen when I play LFO i.e. the '80s hardcore group wtf, no problems with jungle. The frequencies must be at a certain spot only.
Edit: no it's fucking popping on everything now. No cone damage though, luckily. I reckon it's a wiring problem, readjusting its position on the stand just helped though who knowsss
