Old MUST DIE! Tutorials?

I have recently learned that Must Die used to do tutorials back in 2013 or so... however all the videos are now down, whether his label took them down now that he's huge or he didn't like people stealing his patches IDK. My question is, does anyone have those archived somewhere? I'm fascinated to see what he did in them.

Interesting, didn't know he did any tutorials. I knew he used to kick it on here I believe.
Maybe the tutorials were under a different name before he went by MUST DIE!

I only remember one, and it was of his standard screech sound in massive from the old tune "I'm so sorry."
As you would imagine, it was a simple patch, with saturation, and OTT.

Bit off-topic, but anyways, can someone briefly explain OTT compression to me? Is it just some fancy new term for MB-compression or what?

It's an awesome preset for multiband in ableton, so its a go-to setting for a starting point. Xfer created a free plugin that is supposed to mimic it, but I don't have any experience with it. Hope that helps.

Thanks man! Yeah I've read that multiband comp in Ableton has some "OTT" setting/preset. I'm just trying to figure out what it does/what does it stand for? Is it something you can't do with other compressors? I'm not on Ableton myself, so can't really test it...

Over the top? Probably just a shit preset that compresses the bass end hard or something. That or it scoops low MIDs or some shit
Edit
Just googled it found a clear explanation as the first result

Its upwards compression. This can be achieved with a parralell compressor (or new York compression). have fun

Lol I actually read that already, but without paying attention to this part:
"It's doing that (making signals above a threshold quieter) but then also upwards making signals below a threshold louder (signal below ~-40 dB will get louder, but this boost is capped to +36 dB so you hopefully don't hear too much unwanted noise)."
Now after reading again, it makes much more sense.
