Just wondering how this bass is made that kicks in around 0:07:

sounds to me like highs are cut except some mid-hi's and then put in plate reverb

Sounds hollow and resonant.
Square waves, detuned, LPF with high ish resonance and also a formant filter. Sweep EQ cuts and boosts to get the desired tone. Plate reverb. Compress? Might give triangle waves a go as well as they can be quite hollow sounding as well. They have a a nice thunk to them so you'll want to shape a transient a bit.
I could be so totally off as well.

I wasn't at all trying to get that sound but I got something kinda similar. Sounds more like KTN's stuff in his Mat Zo collab tho. :/
