well i dont exactly know if its a siren, but its all over his trax..it must be something like a one oscilator gizmothingy..the cool cool super cool thing about it is that it seems that its pitch and velocity are controlled by an incoming signal (usually snaredrum) so everytime the drums goes thru it the box goes "buu biuu Boui" (or sum shit like that).
ive been all over the net searching but cant find any info about it..so does any of u guys know about it and better yet know how to build one? thanx
track examples;
Attack - Dub Landing
When I love Dub - Dub In Roots Tradition
Dangerous Match Three - Scientist Wins the Worldcup (fukn massive album)

ah...gotcha.
Listened to that very track - it's a Syndrum. Popular in the Eighties on all sorts of stuff. I dare say you can get a Maplin Electronics project kit or something to make one.
Too much fun ! biuu biuu bubuu

that's a syndrum. before those were around, dub producers often used the oscillators in their mixing boards (built for generating test tones for tape) as an effect. tons of it in the lee perry black ark days.

Here you go (if i've got it correct)...more common dubsiren.
dub siren.wav - 0.51MB
btw the scientest (10 dangerous matches album) has more of a feedback generated tone that comes before most tracks is that what you mean? if so it's different to what i've posted.

I used the siren from the Pacman game in my Tetris Dubstep track and then really slowed it down so it synced with the tempo... Thought that'd be a nice touch
