making a channel mono

quick question , in fruity loops, how can i convert a mixer track into mono? cheers

in the mixer, on the right side of things, turn the stereo separation knob all the way to the right.

How do you do this in Ableton?

Add the Utility plugin from the Ableton library. It's got a preset called 'Mono'.

Ive been wondering how to do this

But actually stumbled across it while fiddling around last night.

U have clarified things for me, so cheers.


So if i turn it mono...

And render that pattern .. it'll render in mono ?

Also, am i sposed to double it up (when mixing down) by having 2 sub mono's or what...

Im a tad confused here, help.

not at all.

but a bit boring/unhelpful that we need 6 threads for every subject

i never seen a thread on stereo/mono issues on here until the one about bass in mono last week or whenever, now theres like 3 others. could all easily have just made one informative thread

no need to do that, it will still come out of both sides, just equally
