I have just purchased one of these midi controllers at the recommendation of many people but cannot for the life of me get the little fucker to work.

I have installed, uninstalled, checked my firewire ports etc etc.

Currently I can use the assignable knobs with out any problems but have had no joy from any of the keys across its 3 octaves.

I followed the instructions manual to the letter but I may well have missed something.

Has anybody had similar problems or any ideas that may help?

(It was so irritating to be making using music clicking the notes in while resting my arm on my new keyboard)

Absolute truth. There must be people making 3rd party drivers which work for the equipment (cos without considering drivers they do make damn good products), do you know of any?

Soundcard and MIDI controller both M-Audio here, both causing me varying degrees of driver-grief

completly second thatM-audio drivers are hit and miss. my house mates radium worked fine on his mac book, but when installing and attempting to use on on mine, NOTHING, reason didn't even pick up a usb signal.

Hello,people.
Most m-audio stuff dont like the later windows xp media-center versions. The 2 first versions may be ok,but if you have the latest version,m-audio products may not be compatible.this is also stated in the system requirements in the documentation of your m-audio product.use xp pro or home.or mac.good luck!
