can't pick a favourite madlib track. too many bangers.
i love greenery but i have three copies of it on vinyl and have RINSED it beat juggling, same with rappcats (sicker than greenery!) and bus ride; the vinyls sound fucked now unfortunately, but still work for practicing.

5 a-grade quas tracks for me from the two albums:
shroom music
green power
rappcats
hydrant game
blitz

5 a-grade madlib tracks:
track 12 on top secret bangers
wanna test on lootpack: soundpieces da antidote
sir bang on movie scenes
the one with the violin sample on beat konducta 7"
don't trip on declaime: andsoitissaid

a lot of madlib's tracks sound well raw and like they have been made and mixed while proper proper stoned, but always have the sickest beat or sounds.
he's a diverse producer, not afraid to make unorthodox tunes and take the piss - its good that some producers are still having a laugh with their music. a lot of hip hop is too serious and negative. i don't know if you can call half madlib's material hip hop, but thats a different discussion.

one of my favourite producers

what a legend!

one of my faves is "king britt - spaces feat. quasimoto"

also check this french DJ who made some massive mix which blended the madlib beats with their original sample material..can't remember what it was called

yeah he's amazing. yesterday's new quintet were great and the fact that he created personas for each member of the quintet (even released EPs for them) when they were all actually him is genius

All of it. Seriously. There isn't a tune Madlib's done that I don't like. As himself, Quas, Madvillian, Lootpack beats, Yesterday's New Quintet, Dudley Perkins's stuff, Jaylib shit. It's all top shelf stuff, love it. Favourite producer in the world for me, alongside Edan, he's pretty top.

Sorry, but Edan doesn't even come close to Madlib.

That's my top 5 quas... don't really rate the second album at all, it was a massive disappointment though so I never gave it a second chance lol

Give it a second chance man. It's really good.

That could be due to the fact that i listened to it b4 the unseen. Tbh when i heard the unseen it was a disappointment coz it had been hyped up.
