at least things like the Wire etc have been completed or there would be nothing to watch.

I think the Sarah Connor Chronicles starts soon, although the pilot sucked a bit.

Is it still the season break, or have they run out of episodes of 30 Rock, Reaper, Pushing Daisies etc?

I generally support strikes, if something is so bad that people are willing to not get paid until it's fixed, it must be pretty fucking bad and in need of a change. But to any hollywood writers out there... SHUT UP. I want my frigging heroes, justice be damned

This is an ideal opportunity for people to stop watching television.

great idea!

in fact, the only non-documentary t.v. I watch is The Colbert Report, The Daily Show and The Wire

Yeah, the strike is still going on... not good, considering Im in the entertainment biz. Luckily, not in a sector thats been hit right away, but if this continues much longer it may affect us and cause layoffs. The thing that really sucks about it is all the businesses that depend on the studios in one way or another are going to/starting to get screwed, cause if the studios arent going then they cant work either.

Basically, the beef is over the internet. In recent years, especially over the last year, studios have been putting more and more shows on their websites and other places online for the public to view. If any revenue is generated on this content, the writers see none of it since the last contract talks happened well before that was even thought of. The writers just want their fair share, their cut of the profit being generated from their work and the studios dont want to give it to them. The other point being argued is future revenue as more content shifts to the web.

The biggest worry about this, is that if its not worked out by next year when the Screen Actor's Guild's contracts are up for negotiation, they will strike as well, for the same reasons, and completely shut down LA and the effects will be felt across the country.

I just hope that they can work it out soon, I would like to find a new job or move up in my company, and none of that is happening until the industry is a little more certain of whats going to happen and how the strike is going to affect it.

Sarah Connor Chronicles will go this season as planned, but yeah, the rest are on hiatus along with too many more to mention.

Hope you all like reality TV, cause its that and re-runs till next season. American Idol is gonna have a huge year. Ugh.
