Shackleton 7" on ebay...

heads up for those interested, but i'm really posting this cos of the seller's description:
abyssus-est-alius-populus wrote:Back in the interesting/fledgling days of grime and dubstep in 2004, Shackleton rather unimaginatively stole a Kode9 title and any one of Jon E Cash's tunes of the time, cobbled them together and came up with this rather uninspiring, repetitious electronic schlock, to show that he too could have a platform to share his insipid musical vision with all of us. A friend of his was willing to release on it his novelty label. Shackleton then funded his own 'Skull Disco' vanity project label and here we are today.
The 7" is beautifully packaged, in plain, black, thick card sleeve and is one-sided with the Mordant logo branded into the flipside. There are some faint surface marks, but the plate is virtually unplayed due to total lack of interest on the seller's part. There are no audible glitches or hiss, but the silence is unfortunately broken by the tune itself. A rare and sought after item in the annals of this consistently overrated 'artist'.
erm wtf!

lol that's great. outshine's boomkat's review of the others africa ep in trying to put you off buying it
Boomkat wrote:Dub Police follow up Distinction's debut e.p with 3 tracks from wobblestep heroes The Others. If you've checked N-type's show recently you'll know the style, LFO tweakin subbass that induces an effect in young men between the ages of 16-30 that can be quite embarrassing to witness sometimes. 'flapjack dub' on the flip attempts to open the dubstep market up to pre-teens with a playschool bass melody that would even make the Chuckle Brothers sit down and tell the DJ to f*ck off. 'Bushido' closes the E.P with a hefty twock from Crouching Tiger, ramping up the faux emotion to make your girlfriend cry with disbelief...

It's fucking hilarious. Don't even know the tune and quite like Shackleton but the well-vented spleen there is incredible.
Reminds me of a Kids in the Hall sketch from years back where some guy wanders into his local record shop
"Hey, you got the new Depeche Mode album"
"Yeah...but it sucks"

i reckon dis reviews r the way 4ward. no one believes that MAH-style gushing enthusiasm shit anyway, do they? much better to get totally shamed in the review...and then have sum1 make a thread about it on dubstepforum...more free publicity
so anyway yeah, check out AC and Terra: Spit On This forthcoming on Battle Gong. 5 tracks of pussyclaat psuedo-angst for spotty 14 yr old MCs that never performed to a bigger audience than the bathroom mirror to bug out on. A steaming turd of an EP

I never trust anyone that sounds sincere since it's the first thing that blaggers learn. Or people that tell you that they're "spiritual" in the first five minutes of meeting you. Or anyone that doesn't drink. Or people that think you vaguely give a shit about their status in society. It's all going a bit Mulder

haha, that's hilarious.
I guess he gets to write a really scathing review and then sit back knowing that it'll sell for a shedload.
But ultimately he'll burn in hell.....

just buy the mp3 and save your self stupid money for a song that really isn't all that great within his body of work.
