So i been collecting Dubstep vinyl now since last march, so bout 11 months, and i tell ya i have been going crazy and buying up as much as i cant afford. Its been a lovely journy, at first i remember counting my dubstep tunes after 2 or 3 dubstep orders only to find i had 11 tunes or should i say 11 vinyls, i was pissed coz i wanted a sets worth say 40-60 tunes. Now i have bout 200 and sometimes its so so so fucking hard to decide what tune to play next, coz i got too many good 1s, then theres times i dont wanna stop coz i want to play all my best tunes, then theres the times where i forget bout massive tunes i have, say coz they got to the back of the pile and that really pisses me off. Then theres the few tunes i got on impulse and they get played once and never again. My rooms looking more and more like a record store as the weeks unfold. I can only imagine what my Dubstep collection is gonna be like in 2 years time

. I will spend more time deciding what tune to play next then mixing. Vinyl buyin is very Addictive and very expensive, but some1s gotta do it right?
ps just see at the top i wrote i been buying up as much as i CANT afford, was meant to be can, but the first is more true. Dubstep you skint me,

do people class your records as a collection? I dunno about you but i'd find it hard to class mine as that. I went through a phase of collecting Mid 90's Hip Hop records but that was an expensive hobbie. Dubstep i buy to listen to and mix with.
Oh and they aren’t vinyl’s, they are records or vinyl. You wouldn’t have 10 Sheep’s.
Aside from my minor pet peeves, i always find it hard to pick the next track. For some reason i don’t have the perfect new track which would carry on the mix in a nice fashion.
Count yourself lucky you have the tunes you require at the right time.

A collection is a different thing.

Bruv dont be a prick, i do collect vinyls, and yes i do buy them, but to collect i have to buy/get /steal . Not that i steal but there you go, and a vinyl is a record, stop the craxk man its affecting your brain

I think hes saying you dont collect them cos you actually use em! (If anything it was a complement lol)
And I kinda know what you mean on this, the space they take up is getting a bit silly (And my only idea for storage is to just keep adding more crates to the bit of floor around me turntables

) Any ideas on clever ways of tucking em away when not using em?
And...I might have to 3rd the whole "vinyls" plural thing

Punctuation is good. It helps people to understand written English.

This came up in a thread earlier today (I need a daytime hobbie)

Oh, no offence. But its not until you place your records in one of these do you realise how little you have. It is fun organising them into different categories though.

I know where hes coming from but i consider myself a collectoer even if he dont, anyways thanks for the normal post, Man im gonna have to kick my lil bro outa his room if i keep buying tunes the way i am. Having say 20tracks on a vinyl like cd would help solve the space issue, but thats never gonna happen, where the fuck people with 3 4 5000 vinyls put them i will never know. 1of those lock up garages mabe? or a 2nd house lol

Sorry can someone translate this please?
BTW if you've bought 200 dubstep tunes in 11 months you've wasted a lot of money.

An old uni friend of my dads had one SERIOUS fucking vinyl collection. A good 30 odd years of work. He never knew exactly how many there was, but as a guideline he had it insured for around 40 grand
Long story short their boiler blew while they were on holiday and pretty much the entire collection was flooded and destroyed...ouch

Only reason you edited your post i coz you know you came across as a tit. I dont hold grudges bro, just when people feel the need to point out your spelling misstake n shit it justs gets a bit anoying. Its like im sure there is loads of peps that class themselfs as starwars figures collectors and so on, and some of them may play or touch thier shit, dont mean they are not collecting, and i know there is peps that collect things only to keep them in the pack for show and nver use, thats up to them. I mean ye if the deffonision of a collector is some1 that collects and never uses, then i am obviously not, but i mean fuck me do i have to think about every word i post case some1s gonna come and correct me? Why people feel the ned to be so pitty i will never know,
