Tannoy revial x. Very clear and flat. Did manage to blow them at a party though, had to get tweeters replaced only to find it was the crossovers.shit

I'm using Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 Pro actives at the minute and they are pretty damn good for the price.

Event 20/20 ba's tho they are quite "toppy"
Event TR8 XL's these sound fat as fuck .
Yamaha msp5's these are the baddest monitors. very precise no bottom end, but if your mixes sound good on these they sound good on anything.

looking into some reveals - some dont seem to go below 55hz so i assume the 8d which goes down to 46 is a good choice??
safe
i was just thinking - i already got a half decent hi fi setup [mission speakers, marantz amp] - if i were to get a good sub ,would that consitute a better setup for sub bass music than say just two tannoys? though problem is i cant cane it volume wise , so im not sure if a sub will be too useful , that said prefer music a little quiter with some sub than booming midrange shittt.

had been usin just a pair of wharfdale 8.1's [which were only 200 quid and did an alright job] but just got an aegis sub of ebay and it definetly helps when doing anything low end. seems a lot easier to judge levels and theres the whole late night thing too.
The sub goes down to 28hz and has a crossover level so you can tune it in with the monitors. Wicked too just for listening to anything with bass cos theres layers down in the bottom end of some tunes that i don't hear all that clearly on the monitors and come through nice on the sub.
