Wa gwan me old chinas

As you all know... tuesday night I did an exclusive guest mix Live for Mary anne hobbs which took you on a journey from when I first started mixing in my bedroom and the path I took to the Dubstep I play today.

Its a 45 min mix Included in Maryanne's show and can be listened to here....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1_a ... dio1/hobbs

Big up Mary anne Hobbs and all her gang up at Radio 1!

Ok cos it was hard to fit alot of material in to 45mins and i feel it is important for me to give all the producers due respect. I have decided to extend the mix and do a Rinse fm show in the near future. This will be a one off!!

Hear is a little story as to what you can expect....

The music I first started playing in my bedroom.. Jungle (love it!)

Then the step from jungle to Early Hardstep DNB... (this sound is echoed thru alot of new Dubstep)

Then as my music taste for electronic music grew...

I got into Garage which evolved into 2step. Which is the period I got my first radio show on a local legal station. The station had limited License time left so i left that and Started playing on Delight Fm B2B with Walsh which i stayed at for 5 years.

This was when I left my bedroom and mates parties to play on the London circuit and began cutting Dubs.

Then the step from dark garage to early dubstep with the likes of Oris jay, Zed bias, EL-B, wookie, Search and Destroy, Zinc...

Then introduction of Benga, Skream, and Digital Mystiks & Loefah (it was a little time after this I joined Rinse Fm) which will play through to Dubstep as we here it today......

Keep an ear to the ground..........

Im gonna start digging out riddems from today...

fuckin hell i cant fit all the title in this post screwin (Dstep = Dubstep) oky doky

Big mix Mr Type. I was skanking with my 2 year old last night to the jungle selection :D Brought back some nice memories!!

The above tracklist isnt quite right either though is it? The Helicopter Tune was Deep Blue, there was a Ray Keith tune by the same name, but that was completely different (from what I remember anyway).
